About Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma Pi crest

The Alpha Sigma Chapter at The University of Alabama boasts 190 active brothers and is recognized as one of the nation's largest and most active chapters. In the 2020-2021 academic year, our chapter received national recognition for Outstanding Service, Outstanding Professional Activities, and the highest membership increase in the Southern Province. Each semester, we initiate a new pledge class following a competitive application process, interviewing some of the highest-achieving business students on campus.

Mission: Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity, and the association of students for their mutual advancement through research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce; and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture.

Recruitment

Delta Sigma Pi at the University of Alabama hosts its recruitment process each semester, typically beginning in August (Fall) and January (Spring). During recruitment, prospective members can attend informational sessions and networking events to learn more about the fraternity’s values, professional opportunities, and chapter culture. Students have the chance to connect with current members, learn about career development resources, and explore how Delta Sigma Pi supports academic and professional success. Selected candidates then begin the pledging process, which focuses on professional growth, mentorship, and engagement within the business community.
