One year ago, we celebrated the opening of Greek Assembly Hall.
Thank you for your partnership in supporting our students. We are excited to share a brief snapshot showcasing the impact of this space on our campus and of the funds raised through the National Pan-Hellenic Plaza, the Greek Assembly Hall donor wall and other leadership gifts for Greek Assembly Hall. We are grateful for the generosity of our partners.
Inaugural Year in Review
- 482 events were hosted by National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and United Greek Council (UGC) organizations
- $1,000 in scholarships was awarded to two students
- 16 primary organizations were served through the space (NPHC and UGC organizations)
“For chapters without their own houses, relying on available on-campus spaces often resulted in frequent location changes for chapter meetings. Having a consistent location, such as the Greek Assembly Hall, provided a sense of stability and organization. It created a feeling of ownership and belonging, which made me and other members feel way more at home on the University of Alabama campus.” – Kiera Schnell, UGC Vice President
“For me, it represents more than just a building; it embodies the spirit of togetherness and inclusivity. The opportunities it provides for us to gather, celebrate, and interact with one another are invaluable. Whether it’s hosting events, sharing stories, or simply coming together in fellowship, the Greek Assembly Hall fosters a sense of belonging and connection that enriches our university experience. It’s a space where traditions are honored, friendships are forged, and memories are made, making it an integral part of our Greek community’s fabric.” – Zackary Sheats, NPHC President
