United Greek Council

About

The United Greek Council (UGC) at The University of Alabama proudly serves as the governing body for culturally based and special interest fraternities and sororities on campus. Since its founding in Spring 2009, UGC has worked to foster collaboration, celebrate diversity, and build community among its member organizations. Our council is committed to promoting inclusion, leadership, and mutual respect, while fostering a strong support system where students can thrive academically, socially, and culturally at UA.

Greek Assembly Hall

Opened in 2023, Greek Assembly Hall serves as a vibrant and inclusive space dedicated to supporting the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and the United Greek Council (UGC) at the University of Alabama. Designed for priority use by these councils, the facility hosts meetings, events, study sessions, and community gatherings. It also is a designated storm shelter, providing a safe space to the community.
